Trust seeks new Trustees to join Board

We are seeking talented new Trustees to join our highly skilled and dedicated Board and help us enable outstanding students from all parts of the world to study at the University of Cambridge, irrespective of their social and economic background.
It is an exciting time to be joining the Cambridge Trust. We completed an independent strategic review last year and restructured our Leadership Team, and are now implementing changes and innovating in a variety of areas. As a Trustee, you would have the opportunity to help imagine the Cambridge Trust of the future and play a key role in the decisions that will get us there.
We have a brilliant group of committed Trustees who support and guide the Trust in delivering our objectives. Under the leadership of our Chair, Loretta Minghella, the Board is keen to ensure that Trustees continue to offer a diversity of skills, experiences and vantage points to enrich the Board’s discussion, deliberation and decision-making.
We are looking for individuals with experience of strategic leadership and board-level governance within a complex organisation, as well as expertise in matters relevant to the successful operation of such an organisation, which may include communications (including digital), fundraising and partnership management, human resources, the college perspective, property and premises. Candidates will ideally demonstrate an informed perspective on the broader international and geopolitical environment in which the University of Cambridge operates and a keen interest in the Higher Education sector.
The new Trustees may come from within Cambridge or outside, although it is expected that at least 2 out of the 3 will come from within Cambridge. Experience of the University of Cambridge, whilst desirable, is not essential for all Trustees. The time commitment expected of Trustees is about 12 days a year.
The Trust values a Board of Trustees which shares the characteristics of the student body supported by the Trust which is made up of people of different racial backgrounds, ethnicities, from different countries, who hold different beliefs, are of different sexes, genders and sexual orientations and have different abilities and disabilities. The Trust would welcome interest from candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds.
